At ADVEX we value the knowledge and skills you have gained through past experience. Through the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) process, our accredited programmes allow previous learning — formal, non-formal or informal — to be recognised and credited towards your qualification.
| Formal learning | Structured programmes at a school, college or university that resulted in a recognised qualification |
| Non-formal learning | Structured training outside formal education — workplace training, professional development, workshops |
| Informal learning | Experience, self-directed learning and practice — on-the-job skills, community engagement, personal projects |
We discuss your prior learning and how it aligns with your chosen programme, and advise on the evidence required.
Either a portfolio — certificates, training records, employer endorsements, reflective accounts — or a challenge test: a practical assessment, interview or written test.
Qualified academic staff assess your evidence against the programme or module criteria to determine credits or exemptions.
Credits reduce the workload required to complete your qualification, letting you focus on advanced learning rather than repeating ground already covered.
